Blogs. Twitter. Facebook. LinkedIn. Technorati. Google Alerts. MySpace. Scribd. Social media sites are proliferating. Many people are confused about where to start or whether it’s worth their time to join in. Yet, these sites present plentiful business opportunities. This interactive workshop will demystify the world of business social networking.
Presenting from Fullhouse will be Augie Ray, Managing Director - Experiential Marketing and Cindi Thomas, Group Director - Experience Design. Augie will set the landscape for business social networking and Cindi will focus on examples and guidelines on how to engage in that landscape.
“Social Media offers enormous opportunities for brands to build strong and more effective relationships with consumers and other stakeholders, but most organizations don’t yet recognize the valuable benefits or considerable risks that can arise in the new, highly networked world,” said Ray.
Also presenting will be Tannette Johnson-Elie, a veteran Milwaukee Journal Sentinel business reporter. Dr. Gee Ekachai, a professor in Marquette University’s College of Communication, Public Relations & Advertising will welcome attendees. The workshop will be moderated by Working Writers of Wisconsin member, Lora Hyler, owner of Hyler Communications.
